dr.mike mwendwa

Dr. Mike Mwendwa is a passionate herbal medicine researcher and environmental conservationist dedicated to restoring the power of natural healing through indigenous plants.

As the founder of KEE Botanical Gardens, he has spent years studying, preserving, and applying herbal knowledge to treat various diseases naturally — without the use of chemicals. He studied at Kenyatta university, done research  by interrogating elders with traditional medicine knowledge in various places in Kenya and Africa.

His work is rooted in a deep belief that:

Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.

Dr. Mike Mwendwa Journey

Dr. Mwendwa’s journey began at a very young age with a strong love for nature. Growing up, he developed a deep connection with plants, soil, and the natural environment, always questioning why trees and plants should be destroyed.

Over time, this passion evolved into a calling.

  • He began researching herbal medicine many years ago
  • He gained practical knowledge through experience and exposure
  • He worked and learned environmental conservation practices
  • He combined traditional African knowledge with research

His knowledge is both natural (gifted) and learned through experience and observation.

The Turning Point

Dr. Mwendwa’s life took a dramatic turn after surviving a life-threatening attack where he suffered multiple deep injuries.

Despite the severity of the incident:

  • He was unable to eat or function for a week, in hospital, but in three weeks he was released from hospital.
  • He recovered through treatment and later used his own herbal medicine
  • His recovery was faster and without complications

This experience strengthened his belief in the power of natural healing and reinforced his mission to help others.
